Historical Çeşme Hamamı
The Historical Çeşme Hamamı (Turkish Bath) was built in the late 1720s by Kaymak (Atlamacı) Mustafa Pasha, the Kapudan Pasha (Grand Admiral) of the Ottoman Empire during the Tulip Period.
Shortly after commissioning the bath, Mustafa Pasha was executed in an uprising in Istanbul led by a bath attendant named Patrona Halil. This rebellion, known as the Patrona Halil Rebellion, marked the end of the Tulip Period.
The hamam was restored in 2017, preserving its original texture. It operates as a mixed-gender facility. The hamam, continuing the splendor of the Ottoman Tulip Period to this day, offers its services to you with the distinction of Qualia Signature.
Çeşme Hamamı was built in 1720 and has preserved the timeless ritual of water, steam, and renewal for over three centuries, right in the heart of Galata, Istanbul.
